Owning a Harley^® isn't about having... it's about doing. It's about experiencing the world with every sense. Whether you're a seasoned rider or  a new rider - Harley Owners Group^® makes everyone welcome, and invites you to ride and have fun the Harley way.

H.O.G. ® has a range of social and riding events that take in and around the dealership throughout the year. Our enthusiastic team of volunteers organise at least one national rally per year, as well as other one-nighters and charity rides. Groups of H.O.G. members usually ride together to join other chapters rallies and events. Established in 1997, H.O.G. Johannesburg is the oldest H.O.G. chapter in South Africa

We are a dealer-sponsored chapter of the “Official Riding Club of Harley-Davidson®” and strive to maintain the focus on “Ride & have fun”. The chapter is a non-profit, member-driven club that is run by and for its members on a voluntary basis.

Harley Owners Group® (H.O.G.) is an organization founded and sponsored by Harley-Davidson Motor Company and has members around the globe in over a 1000 chapters. H.O.G. offers a range of motorcycling social and rally events and benefits to Harley-Davidson enthusiasts throughout the world.

The purpose of a local Chapter is to promote responsible, skilled, safe riding for H.O.G.® members and organises activities and supports participation in events. Chapter activities and operations are conducted in a manner consistent with a family-oriented, non-political, non-religious philosophy.

Almost one million members

H.O.G.® has been hitting the open road for more than three decades. Harley-Davidson established the Harley Owners Group in 1983 in response to a growing desire by Harley riders for an organized way to share their passion and show their pride. The concept was so popular that within just two years, 49 local chapters had sprouted around the USA, with a total membership of 60,000.

H.O.G.'s have a taste for adventure, rebellion, attitude and freedom. That’s just how we like it. When you’re a member, all that’s left is to let out the clutch and hit the throttle. 

The group was created to enhance the experience of owning a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle by offering access to a host of benefits and services associated withownership of the world’s most famous motorcycle. These include the club magazine (HOG® magazine), the invaluable Touring Map, access to emergency roadside recovery services, rental programmes, preferential access to goods and services, and much, much more.

H.O.G.® now has about a million members around the world with more than 100,000 in Europe making it the largest factory-sponsored motorcycle enthusiast organisation in the world. . For your interest, H.O.G members are an average age of 47, 81% Male.
